panoRRama is a unique online community experience. It is designed to feature both inspiring content and meaningful conversation. In our increasingly polarized world, it is harder and harder to find a safe place for constructive conversation with people of different viewpoints. Whenever we do venture out of our echo chambers, conversation quickly devolves into argument and social media conflict.

While much of the panoRRama content is available to anyone interested, the safe space designed for meaningful conversation is available to members only.

    As a membership community, panoRRama consists of people who have made a mutual commitment to create and preserve the safe space necessary for meaningful and open conversation. No one is a member by accident. Rather, members are only those who have made an intentional commitment to the panoRRama community

    The Reason for Membership Fees

    The Basic Membership Fee is approximately the cost of a cup of coffee for you and a friend. And just like sitting in your favourite neighbourhood coffee shop, these two cups of coffee lead to life giving conversation. The same is true for the panoRRama Membership Fee. It demonstrates a commitment to the panoRRama Community and opens the door to life-giving conversation. 50% of the membership fees are given away to worthy causes through the panoRRama Community Investments.

  • The Conversational Covenant

    The Conversational Covenant is at the heart of the panoRRama Community. This Covenant is the agreement shared by all our members and is what makes us unique. It is not an overstatement to say that the Conversational Covenant is what makes the panoRRama culture possible. Members follow the Conversational Covenant when participating in every aspect of the panoRRama Community. We invite all members to make the covenant below with us.

The panoRRama Conversational Covenant

    I agree to keep everything shared in a panoRRama conversation confidential. This is a place where we are free to explore ideas and ask questions and share our thoughts without fear.

    I will do my part to welcome others into the conversation. I will make their comfort level my responsibility. I will do whatever I can to help them overcome their fear.

    I will position myself as a listener. Instead of preaching or giving advice, I will listen for nuggets of truth that others speak into my life.

    I will position myself as a learner. In other words, if I hear someone express an idea or thought that makes me uncomfortable or that I don’t agree with, I will ask questions to understand instead of making an argument to convince.

    I will treat every person and their story as sacred. No matter how different their story is than mine, I will receive it as holy ground.

    I will give myself and others the freedom to make mistakes. No one is perfect. We are on a journey together.

    I will give myself and others the option to join the conversation anonymously in order to participate without fear. I recognize that when participating anonymously I will be even more careful to follow the Conversational Covenant.

    I will give myself and others permission to withdraw from the conversation whenever we feel uncomfortable. This is important because even safe conversations can be overwhelming at times.

    I give panoRRama admin the permission to monitor community activities and speak to me or any other member whenever anyone falls short of the covenant expectations.
